About these terms
This website is run by Queen of Compass Studio (“we”, “us”). These terms apply to everyone who visits
or uses queenofcompass.com. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. How we handle
personal data is explained in our privacy policy.
02
Information on this site
Everything on this site is general information about the studio and our work. It is not
professional, legal, financial or marketing advice for your particular situation. We keep the
content accurate and up to date as well as we can, we make no promise that it is complete or free
of errors, and we may change or remove any part of it at any time without notice.
03
Offers and prices
Packages, prices and descriptions on this site show what we usually offer. They are an invitation to
talk and do not form a binding offer. The scope, price, taxes, deadlines and payment terms of any
project are set only in a written proposal or agreement signed or confirmed by both sides. We may
change our packages and prices at any time; a change never affects a project already agreed.
04
No agreement through the site
Sending a form, subscribing to the newsletter or booking a call does not make you our client and
does not oblige either side to work together. A project starts only once both sides have
confirmed a written agreement. Until then, any ideas we share in a call or an email are
suggestions and remain our work.
A free call or first consultation is a conversation to get to know each other. What we say in it is
general guidance and not professional advice you can rely on for a decision. We may decline any
enquiry or project, and we do not have to give a reason.
05
Proposals, quotes and pitches
Everything we prepare for you before an agreement, such as proposals, quotes, concepts, moodboards,
strategies, sample designs, scripts and creative directions, is confidential and remains our
property. You may use it only to decide whether to work with us. Without our written consent, you
may not:
- show or send it to other agencies, freelancers, suppliers or anyone outside your own team;
- use it to ask others for a competing quote or to brief another provider;
- carry it out yourself or have it carried out by anyone else, fully or in part.
If our proposal or concept is used without our consent, we may charge a fair fee for that use, in
addition to every other remedy the law gives us. Prices and terms in a quote are meant only for the
person or company we sent it to.
06
Our work and ideas
All photographs, videos, designs, illustrations, texts, the logo and the look of this site are
protected by copyright and belong to Queen of Compass Studio, to our clients or to those who
licensed them to us. You may view the site and share links to it. Search engines and AI assistants
that our robots.txt file allows may read the site so that people can find us. Beyond that, you may
not copy, download, edit, publish, sell or use any of it, including for training artificial
intelligence, without our written permission.
Client names, brands and logos shown on this site belong to their owners and appear with their
permission or under our agreement with them (see “Showing our work” below). Showing them does not
mean that a client endorses anything beyond what is written.
07
Showing our work
Unless a written agreement with a client says otherwise, we may show the work we create for that
client and the results we achieve together in our own marketing, on any channel and in any format:
this website, Instagram, LinkedIn and other social networks, paid ads, newsletters, presentations,
proposals, case studies, awards and the press. This covers:
-
the photos, videos, designs, websites, texts and other creations we made for the client,
including drafts and behind-the-scenes material;
- the client’s name, logo and a description of the project and of our role in it;
-
results and statistics from the project, such as figures from Google Analytics, Google Search
Console, social media insights and ad accounts, shown as numbers, charts or screenshots.
This applies to every project, also when the agreement does not mention it, and it continues after
the project ends. We never publish passwords, business information the client has marked as
confidential, or personal data of the client’s customers or website visitors; statistics appear
only as totals and trends that identify no one. A client who needs a project kept private can agree
this with us in writing before the work starts.
08
Our name and brand
“Queen of Compass”, “Queen of Compass Studio”, our logo and the look of our work identify us. Nobody
may use them, or a name or look that could be confused with them, to suggest a partnership,
endorsement or connection with us without our written permission. Nobody may present our work as
their own, for example in a portfolio, a pitch or on social media, or claim a role in our projects
that they did not have. If you see someone doing this, please let us know.
09
Ideas and offers you send us
Agencies, freelancers, suppliers and others sometimes send us ideas, concepts, pitches, portfolios or
offers we did not ask for. We are glad to hear from you, and please know that:
- we are not obliged to read, answer, keep confidential, use or pay for anything sent unrequested;
-
we develop many ideas of our own and with our clients, so work we create independently that
resembles your idea does not mean we used it, and gives you no claim against us;
- sending us an offer or a collaboration request does not create any agreement or obligation.
This section does not apply to briefs, files and information you share with us as a client under a
written agreement; that agreement sets how we treat them.
10
Results and testimonials
The projects and client testimonials on this site show work we have done and what our clients
experienced. Every brand, market and budget is different, so they are no promise of the same
outcome for you. Unless a written agreement says otherwise, we do not guarantee specific results
such as sales, bookings, followers, reach, engagement or search rankings.
11
Fair use of the site
When you use the site, please do not:
- try to break into, test the security of, overload or disrupt the site or the server behind it;
- upload or send viruses, malicious code, spam or automated form submissions;
- collect content or data from the site with bots, scrapers or similar tools;
- copy the design, structure, texts or code of the site for another website;
- use our forms to advertise your services, to send bulk offers or to collect our contact details for lists;
- record our calls or meetings without the consent of everyone taking part;
- pretend to be someone else, or send false or misleading information;
- use the site for anything unlawful or harmful to us or to others.
We may block access for anyone who breaks these rules, delete what they sent and report serious
cases to the authorities.
12
If something on the site concerns you
If you believe that something on this site infringes your rights, for example a photo you hold the
rights to, write to us at hello@queenofcompass.com
with a link to the content and a short explanation. We look into every message and remove or
correct content where the claim is justified.
13
Links to other sites
The site links to Instagram, to documents and to other websites for your convenience. We do not
control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability, security or privacy
practices. Visiting them is at your own risk and under their own terms.
14
Availability of the site
The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to keep it online, safe and free of errors,
and we cannot guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free or free of
viruses. We may pause, change or close the site, fully or in part, at any time, for example for
maintenance or security reasons.
15
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
-
we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, business,
data or reputation, arising from your use of the site or from being unable to use it;
- we are not liable for decisions you make based on information found on the site;
-
we are not liable for damage caused by hacking, viruses or other attacks by third parties that
we could not reasonably prevent, or by failures of our hosting provider or other outside services;
-
our total liability to you arising from the use of this free website is limited to
100 euros.
Our liability for work we do for clients is set by the written agreement for that project.
Nothing in these terms limits a liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for
intent or gross negligence, and nothing in them takes away the rights you have as a consumer.
16
Your responsibility
If you break these terms or misuse the site, and this causes a claim, loss or cost for us, you agree
to compensate us for it, including reasonable legal costs, to the extent permitted by law.
17
Events beyond our control
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events we cannot reasonably control, such
as power or internet outages, cyber attacks on outside providers, natural disasters, pandemics,
war, strikes or decisions of public authorities.
18
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the country in which Queen of Compass Studio is registered.
If a disagreement arises, please write to us first at
hello@queenofcompass.com; we will try to resolve it
together within 30 days before either side turns to a court. If you are a consumer, the mandatory
protections of the country where you live still apply.
19
General
-
If a court finds any part of these terms invalid, the rest stays in force, and the invalid part
is replaced by the valid rule closest to its purpose.
- If we do not enforce a right straight away, we do not give it up.
-
You may not transfer your rights under these terms to anyone else. We may transfer ours to a
company that takes over the studio or its business.
-
We may update these terms at any time by publishing a new version on this page. The version
published here on the day you use the site is the one that applies.
-
These terms are written in English. If we publish them in another language, the English version
prevails wherever the two differ.
